The Parklands of Floyds Fork is actually a collection of four different Louisville, KY parks with playgrounds: Beckley Creek, Pope Lick, Turkey Run, and The Strand. Across the areas, you will find some of the most gorgeous views across the city. The Parklands feature several playgrounds at the Beckley Creek location. From splash pads to rope courses, this center truly has the best spots for explorers of all ages! They also have several hiking trails, just in case you need to run out a little more energy.
E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park
3000 Freys Hill Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40241
E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park is a Louisville, KY playground destination you will love no matter the time of year! During the warmer months, grab your swimsuits and some sunscreen so you can spend the morning splashing around at the pool. Once the weather cools down, you can go for a hike along the Goose Creek Nature Trail. The playground at this park is ideal for younger kids ages 2-6. The area is mostly shaded with benches surrounding the play place and open fields where your child can run around.
Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve
12501 Harmony Landing Road, Goshen, Kentucky 40026
If your Louisville, KY child has a fabulous imagination, Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve playground might just be the spot for them! This gorgeous space has a playground designed to look like a log cabin. While there are definitely activities for younger kids, this is my favorite recommendation for kids ages 5-10. Your child will get the chance to run around and climb several stories before flying down the tunnel slides.
City of Douglass Hills

The City of Douglass Hills has two parks that your family is going to positively adore! For parents with younger kids, you can head over to Warren Walker Park where you can find a vibrant playground completely enclosed with a fence. Bill Lile Running Creek meanwhile offers a playground perfect for children ages 3-7. No matter where you go, your child will have a spot where they can run around and make brand new friends!
